MEDICAL RECEPTIONIST
Busy private pediatric practice located in Long Beach seeking a strong and experienced medical receptionist to join our hard working team. Hours would be rotating Monday- Friday. (Ex. 7:45am-4:00pm or 10:00am-6:00pm) with rotating Saturdays from 7:45am-12:30pm.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be able to handle high volume of calls
- Schedule appointments
- Check patients in and out
- Scan documents into the appropriate patient chart and assign to the doctor when necessary
- Retrieve and process request for referrals, prescriptions, prior authorizations, and appointments
- Must be Professional, detailed orientated, & well organized
- Greet patients warmly and professionally
- Verify and update insurance information
- Collect and post all payments (copays, deductibles, coinsurance, & past due balances)
- Electronic Medical records experience preferred (EclinicalWorks experience a plus)
- 2 Years experience as a Medical Receptionist, pediatrics preferred
