Job description:
MATTERS (a division of UBMD Emergency Medicine) is a multistate substance use treatment and resource referral network that connects individuals to outpatient follow-up care and harm reduction resources. Our goal is to make getting help simple, human, and stigma-free: connecting people to care, resources, and community support when and where they need it most.
The Contracts Manager will assist MATTERS leadership in managing contracts and contract-related issues, such as expense tracking, purchasing, inventory, funding reimbursement, records management, and compliance.
Primary Functions:
- Assume leadership responsibility for organizing and reporting contract activity and budgetary health
- Collaborate on lifecycle management of contracts and proactively identifies, evaluates and communicates risks associated with contract and budget health
- Act as subject-matter-expert for financial components of contract terms
- Manage day-to-day contract-related operations, such as: Purchasing, Expense tracking, Invoice allocation and processing, Generation of check requests, Reimbursements, Vendor relations, Contract and budget modification proposal, and nventory management
- Ensure compliance with all contract requirements (e.g. insurance, etc.)
- Create budgets
- Create contract/spending trackers
- Create and present a variety of budgetary related reports
- Assist in creation and implementation of contract-specific organizational policies and procedures
- Ensures third-party services and tools are used in compliance with HIPAA and SOC 2 requirements.
- Special projects and other duties as assigned

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years experience in business administration, purchasing, accounting, contract management, office management, or project management
- Approximately 40 hours/week hybrid work schedule
Salary & Benefits
