Snow removal operator

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Snow Removal Operator to efficiently manage snow and ice removal for commercial properties. This role involves operating various equipment and tools to ensure safe and accessible pathways during winter conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, mechanical knowledge, and experience with landscaping or maintenance tasks. Responsibilities

• Operate snow plows, shovels, blowers, and other hand tools to clear snow and ice from driveways, sidewalks, parking lots, and walkways
• Use equipment such as loaders, skid steers, and salt trucks for larger snow removal projects when necessary
• Apply salt or de-icing materials to prevent ice formation and ensure safety
• Perform routine maintenance on snow removal equip
• Communicate effectively with clients or team members regarding project status or safety concerns

Requirements

• Prior experience with snow plowing, landscaping, or landscape maintenance is preferred
• Mechanical knowledge related to power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment such as excavators is advantageous
• Familiarity with lawn care, gardening, horticulture, irrigation systems, and hardscape installation is a plus
• Ability to operate equipment safely and follow safety protocols in winter weather conditions
• Physical stamina to work outdoors in cold temperatures for extended periods
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
• Valid driver’s license is required for operating larger machinery or vehicles involved in snow removal operations
