Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate landscaping crews to complete construction projects efficiently and to high standards
- Oversee landscape maintenance tasks including lawn care, planting, pruning, and grounds upkeep
- Manage irrigation systems installation, repair, and ongoing maintenance to ensure optimal landscape health
- Identify various plants, trees, and shrubs to guide planting decisions and landscape design adaptations
- Operate grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively, including mowers, trimmers, and irrigation tools
- Lead hardscape projects such as paving, stonework, retaining walls, and outdoor features with precision
- Ensure crew adherence to safety protocols while managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Maintain detailed records of project progress, equipment usage, and material inventory
Skills
- Extensive outdoor work experience with a focus on landscaping and grounds maintenance
- Proven supervising experience in landscape or construction settings with strong team management skills
- Knowledge of plant identification, horticulture practices, and landscape design principles
- Skilled in irrigation management including installation, troubleshooting, and repairs
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment safely along with company vehicle operation for project transport
