Job Summary:
The Automotive Service Porter is responsible for assisting with various tasks in an automotive service department.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Greeting customers and directing them to the appropriate service advisor or technician.
- Parking and retrieving customer vehicles in a safe and organized manner.
- Assisting technicians with moving vehicles in and out of service bays.
- Running errands for the service department, such as picking up parts or delivering customer vehicles.
- Keeping the service department clean and organized, including sweeping and mopping floors and maintaining an orderly appearance in customer waiting areas.
- Assisting with customer shuttle services, driving customers to and from their destinations as necessary.
- Maintaining an inventory of cleaning supplies and notifying management when reordering is necessary.
- Following all safety protocols and wearing protective clothing as required.
- Assisting with other duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
- Good communication skills
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, kneel, and climb ladders as needed
Salary : $14 - $16
