What are the responsibilities and job description for the Weekend Counter Help position at Matson's Deli?
Join the Matson's deli team as part of our weekend crew! Working the front counter, you’ll be the friendly face welcoming customers, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring a smooth flow of service in a fast-paced environment. Your positive attitude and attention to detail will help create enjoyable experiences for every customer. Whether taking orders, answering the phone, or supporting kitchen operations, you’ll be an essential part of our dedicated team. The shift is 8:00 AM–4:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays, with additional weekday shifts available.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their visit
- Take orders over the phone and in person
- Prepare food items efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation
- Assist with food handling, cleaning, ordering and more
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or fast-food environments is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently during busy hours
Pay: $16.00 per hour
