Why This Role Matters

As a Regional Sales Manager, you’ll be a key driver in expanding our client base and building lasting relationships with leaders in Quality Assurance, Food Safety, R&D, and C-Suite teams at major food companies. This isn’t just about closing deals—it’s about solving real-world challenges that keep food safe and brands strong. You’ll run your territory like your own business, backed by a collaborative team and innovative solutions.


What You’ll Do

  • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to grow revenue in your assigned territory.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with major food companies.
  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Customer Service, and Technical teams to meet client needs.
  • Represent Matrix Sciences at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Leverage CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) to manage client interactions and track sales activities.
  • Recommend appropriate testing methods and services to clients and prospects.
  • Ensure accurate client onboarding, including reviewing quotes, contracts, and invoices.
  • Provide regular sales activity reports and escalate client needs as necessary.
  • Adhere to workplace safety protocols during client visits, especially in laboratory settings.


What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Microbiology, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
  • 3 years of sales experience in the food industry, ideally in lab services or food safety.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and drive results in a B2B sales environment.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (HubSpot preferred) and Microsoft Office.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented mindset.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% within your territory.
