Matrix Providers is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team of talented professionals providing healthcare services to Military Service Members and their families at Naval Health Clinic Quantico.
- Employment Status: Full-time
- Compensation: This is an hourly position, paid bi-weekly
- $23.23-$24.45/ hour; H&W $4.57
- Schedule: Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:00 am and 6:30 pm. Shifts will normally be scheduled for an 8.5 to 9 hour period, to include an uncompensated 30 to 60 minute lunch break.
- Current schedule: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm or 6:30 am to 3:00 pm. Depends on the Provider you are working with.

Requirements:
- Degree/Education: Certificate; Graduate from a medical assistant training program accredited by Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) of the American Medical Technologists or a formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces. In lieu of graduation from one of these programs, the CMA may be a graduate of a program accredited by the state where the school is located.
- Certifications:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Current certification as a medical assistant by: The American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or The American Medical Technologists (AMT) or The American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) or The National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) or equivalent.
- Experience: One year of experience as a Medical Assistant after graduation
Core Duties
- Prepare examination rooms prior to patient's arrival.
- Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed.
- Check patient's vital signs, to include temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter reading.
- Obtain and document patient's current medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies and vital signs on the correct form.
- Perform diagnostic procedures when ordered.
- Maintain examination room stock levels and perform routine maintenance of examination rooms.
- Complete lab and x-ray requisitions in accordance with clinic policies.
- Enter demographic data into the computer upon patient check-in; enter diagnosis and departing time when patient is released.
