Quality Inspector - 2nd Shift

Description

Matrix Plastic Products is a quality-driven custom manufacturer of injection-molded medical device components and assemblies. We are looking for an EXPERIENCED QUALITY INSPECTOR to join our team on 2nd shift (3:45pm - 12:00am.)

Responsibilities Include

Creating inspection layouts, performing incoming and in-process inspections, and certifying production to customer specifications using equipment ranging from hand-held instruments and gauges to multi-sensor measuring systems (vision, touch-probe, and laser capable) and 3-D scanning.

Job Type: Full-Time (on-site)

Starting Pay: $18.30 - $22.50 (depending on experience)

Requirements

3 Years of plastics-related quality assurance is preferred.

• Reading and understanding blueprints
• Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Familiarity with the use of inspection gauges and techniques
• Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Spreadsheets and Reports
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred
• The ideal candidate will have some familiarity with many of the following inspection report formats:
• First Article Inspections(FAI)
• Capability Study Reports (SPC)
• Melt Flow Indexer Reports (resin, raw and/or granulated)
• Moisture Analysis
• In-Process Inspection Reports
• Gauge R&R’s
• Capability Studies
• PPAP Reports (per AIAG)
• IQ|OQ|PQ Process Validation Reports
• Control Plans
• pFMEA Reports
• Process Flow Diagrams
