We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to oversee the financial management of multiple business entities and locations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in multi-entity accounting, financial reporting, and strategic leadership. This role is hands-on and requires a proactive professional who can streamline processes, maintain accuracy, and support operational growth across a complex organizational structure.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting functions for multiple business entities, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
- Consolidate financial results and prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Develop and implement standardized accounting policies, internal controls, and reporting procedures across all entities.
- Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes for each entity and at the consolidated level.
- Coordinate and prepare for external audits and ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards.
- Partner with senior leadership to provide actionable financial insights, variance analysis, and performance metrics.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff; foster collaboration between finance teams across different business units or locations.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, system integration, and process optimization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience, with 3 years in a leadership or Controller role.
- Proven experience managing financials across multiple entities, subsidiaries, or locations.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, financial consolidation, and intercompany accounting.
- Proficiency with accounting and ERP software (e.g., NetSuite, Sage Intacct, QuickBooks Enterprise, or similar).
- Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to operate strategically while remaining detail-oriented and hands-on.
