***This position requires a candidate to live locally and have property accounting or property bookkeeping experience. This will be a in-office position, but allows WFH days and a flex schedule as needed***
Position Overview
This is a Property Accounting Bookkeeping position. This role supports core property accounting and financial reporting activities, ensuring accurate records, timely close processes, and clear financial insights for internal and external stakeholders. The position works cross-functionally with operations and contributes to budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute day-to-day property accounting activities, including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Process payroll-related funding activity and record associated entries
- Prepare and review internal and external financial reports
- Perform analytical reviews, including trend and variance analysis
- Deliver clear, timely, and professional financial reporting to leadership and other stakeholders
- Support the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting initiatives
- Assist with cash flow projections and general cash management analysis
- Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for year-end reporting, audits, and tax review
- Collaborate with operations and administrative teams to ensure accurate financial data
- Manage multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain a high level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
- Ensure integrity of financial data across accounting and management systems
- Establish priorities, set goals, and follow through on deliverables
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (preferred, but not required)
- 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience (industry and/or public accounting)
- Experience working with accounting or property/operations management systems preferred
- Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills
- Adaptable, proactive, and willing to take on new responsibilities and special projects
