Job Summary
The Project Controls Administrator is responsible for performing administrative activities in support of the overall project management process, implementing systems, analytical tools and methods to monitor status of projects, performing planning and scheduling for proposals and successful projects. Development and application of earned value principles, techniques and technical knowledge of industrial construction and maintenance projects.
Essential Functions
- Actively supports the Company’s commitment to safety and its Core Values.

- Track and maintain detailed project budgets with earned value system.
- Utilize analytical systems, methods and tools to monitor projects and develop weekly and monthly progress reports to management and/or customer.
- Work with project managers on change orders based on analysis of reports and identification of potential problem areas.
- Answer questions from project manager and senior management as a result of project analysis and status reporting. Bring critical issues to the immediate attention of appropriate management personnel.
- Support supervision through preparation, updating and maintenance of forecasts and schedules.
- Develop and track detailed engineering, procurement and construction schedules with project managers and operations manager.
- Interface with other departments to provide material delivery schedules.
- Perform administrative activities in support of project management functions including RFQ’s, proposals, subcontracts, purchasing, job management, cost controls, billings, etc.
- Interface with billing and payroll personnel as needed to resolve issues within assigned groups.
- Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
- 0-3 years of project controls experience.
- Primavera (P3) Project Planner proficiency preferred. (Microsoft Project and/or P6 proficiency a plus) .
- Proficiency in the use of software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Access and other database applications.
- Working knowledge of and ability to select and apply resource monitoring and control techniques, such as CPM computer scheduling techniques would be preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of earned value techniques would be preferred.
- Good interpersonal communication skills; excellent organizational and time management skills.
