Nuclear Estimator

Key Responsibilities: 

• Direct nuclear power experience ideally from operating utilities or nuclear EPCs.  

• Familiarity with pressurized water reactors (PWRs) or boiling water reactors (BWRs), 10 CFR 50 Appendix B QA programs, INPO standards, and NRC regulatory frameworks.  

• Ideal candidates have estimated capital modification, digital I&C modernization, major component replacement (steam generators, transformers, turbine upgrades), or subsequent license renewal (SLR) efforts. 

• Capability in scope, schedule, cost control, risk management, change control, and stakeholder coordination / communication using structured PM methodologies (PMBOK, EVM, critical-path scheduling). 

• Experience with Primavera P6 and enterprise systems like SAP, Maximo, or Passport for project planning, tracking, budgeting, and reporting. 

• Experience with coordinating multi-discipline engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, I&C, Civil), Construction, Licensing, and Operations teams. 

•  Ability to execute projects under regulatory oversight, maintaining ALARA principles, nuclear safety culture, and procedural compliance. 

• Engineering or equivalent technical degree or equivalent field work experience; PMP certification strongly preferred; Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus. Candidates with formal INPO or Xcel Energy fleet project management training are especially valuable. 

• Mid- to senior-level estimators with 8–25 years total experience, including at least 6 years in a nuclear facility.
