About the Opportunity
We’re seeking motivated, reliable, and customer‑focused independent contractors to support Xfinity service operations in the Richmond and Chesterfield areas. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands‑on technical work, problem‑solving, and interacting with customers while maintaining the freedom and flexibility of 1099 contracting.
As a contractor, you’ll represent Xfinity by performing professional in‑home installations, troubleshooting, and service upgrades for residential customers.
What You’ll Do
- Install, activate, and troubleshoot Xfinity internet, TV, and voice services
- Educate customers on product features, equipment usage, and best‑in‑home setup
- Complete service calls with professionalism, accuracy, and strong attention to detail
- Maintain accurate documentation of completed work
- Provide excellent customer service and uphold Xfinity brand standards
- Manage your own schedule and route assignments as an independent contractor
What You’ll Need
- Experience in telecommunications, low‑voltage wiring, cable installation, or related technical fields (preferred but not required — training available)
- Strong mechanical/technical aptitude
- Reliable transportation capable of carrying tools and equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor environments
- Professional communication skills and customer‑first mindset
- Must pass background check and drug screening
