We are seeking a skilled and motivated Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team. Responsibilities
- Finish concrete surfaces by smoothing, leveling, and shaping freshly poured concrete using hand tools and power tools such as trowels, floats, and screeds
- Interpret construction plans, blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure precise application of finishing techniques
- Install rebar and formwork according to specifications to prepare for concrete pouring and ensure structural integrity
- Operate heavy equipment including concrete mixers, pumps, and cutting tools safely and efficiently on construction sites
- Perform concrete cutting, grinding, caulking, and sealing to achieve desired textures and finishes for various surfaces
- Coordinate with team members on concrete pouring schedules, ensuring proper timing for finishing work and adherence to safety protocols
- Maintain a clean work environment by managing debris, heavy lifting tasks, and ensuring all tools are properly stored after use
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to construction tools, power tools, heavy equipment operation, and concrete mixers
- Proficiency in blueprint reading, interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans
- Experience with concrete forming, formwork construction, rebar installation, and concrete pouring techniques
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and safety regulations specific to construction workplaces
- Skilled in masonry work such as stucco, tile laying, plastering, roofing prep, metal stud framing, and restoration projects
- Ability to operate heavy machinery safely while adhering to construction safety regulations
- Excellent hand tool skills including carpentry (trim carpentry), framing (frame carpentry), caulking, welding basics, flooring installation and tile setting
- Capable of heavy lifting and performing physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings related to schematics for construction site planning
