Job Description:

Seeking an experienced DB2 DBA with strong z/OS mainframe experience to support enterprise banking database environments. This role will focus on database administration, performance tuning, production support, backup/recovery, and automation within a large-scale enterprise environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Support and maintain DB2 databases on z/OS
  • Perform performance tuning, monitoring, backup, and recovery activities
  • Support Db2 utilities, table design, and production stability
  • Partner with application teams on database access and support
  • Utilize COBOL, JCL, and REXX scripting for troubleshooting and automation
  • Build monitoring/reporting solutions using Splunk and Python when needed
