Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to join a fast-paced Agile team supporting critical financial and technology initiatives. This role requires a strong understanding of Agile delivery, product ownership, and financial services concepts, along with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, development teams, architects, and leadership. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of business analysis, technical acumen, and product management experience to drive successful delivery of strategic initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a Product Owner or Business Analyst in an Agile environment
- Strong Agile/Scrum experience with the ability to immediately contribute within an established Agile framework
- Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, TFS, or similar Agile project management tools
- Agile certification such as CSPO, CSM, CSP, or equivalent
- Experience with payments, financial services, banking systems, or money movement concepts
- Familiarity with cloud technologies and cloud-based environments
- General understanding of infrastructure and security principles
- Experience with data warehousing, data mining, and data analytics
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams
- Partner with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate requirements into actionable user stories
- Manage and prioritize product backlogs based on business value, dependencies, and delivery objectives
- Collaborate with development teams, architects, and program leadership throughout the Agile delivery lifecycle
- Define acceptance criteria and validate completed work against business requirements
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, and iteration activities
- Review testing strategies and ensure delivered functionality meets expectations
- Lead product demonstrations and communicate progress to stakeholders and leadership
- Support product strategy and align delivery efforts with organizational goals
- Experience supporting core banking applications, financial systems, or digital financial products
- SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) experience
- 5–10 years of banking or financial services industry experience
- Experience working directly with executive leadership and senior stakeholders
- Strategic mindset with strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
