JOB Description: The Quality Inspector performs inspections of manufactured products to ensure product meets applicable specifications in a machine shop environment.
Schedule: Second Shift (2:15pm-10:45pm), Monday - Friday (weekends as needed)
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections of manufactured products to ensure product meets applicable specifications.
- Perform review of production reports (review traveler for accuracy i.e material, revisions, P.O., etc.) to ensure allqualitydocumentation are complete and accurate.
- Perform first article, in process and final inspections in the development of finished products.
- Review internal files for accuracy and revision.
- Perform duties related to gage calibration and verification.
- Perform minor repair to measurement gages.
- Performqualityassurance functions as needed (review, audits, etc).
Required Skills:
- Must be able to read and comprehend simple instructions
- Ability to write
- Basic math skills
- Regularly required to use hands and stand for long periods of time
- Ability to listen and watch machine for malfunctions
- Attention to detail
- Communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- While performing this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and loud noise areas
- Minimum 5 years experience in a machine shop environment
- Demonstratable ability to use calipers, micrometers, height gauge, bore gauges, optical comparator, etc.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Three years related experience or combination of education and experience
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Keyence CMM a plus
- Experience in an ISO environment a plus
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job the employee must: Be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds; Regularly required to use hands and stand for longs periods of time.
The hourly rate for this position is $24.04 - $28.85 per hour.
