Position Summary:
The Assistant Center Director supports the Center Director in daily operations, sales, administration, and instructional leadership. This role helps ensure the center runs efficiently, delivers excellent math instruction, and provides outstanding customer service. When the Center Director is unavailable, the Assistant Center Director acts as the second-in-command and makes operational decisions as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Center Operations & Administration
- Support all aspects of center management and ensure smooth daily operations.
- Complete administrative tasks such as creating binders, updating student progress, and managing learning materials.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging learning environment.
- Assist with opening/closing procedures and uphold center policies.
Sales & Customer Service
- Convert leads through calls, follow-ups, tours, and enrollment conversations.
- Provide exceptional customer service by building rapport with families and addressing questions or concerns.
- Manage CRM systems, promote referral programs, and support marketing efforts.
- Conduct student assessments and set expectations with parents regarding progress.
Instructional Leadership
- Support the instructional floor by overseeing student engagement and progress.
- Provide instruction when needed and ensure adherence to the Mathnasium Method.
- Train, coach, and develop instructional staff to improve performance and team cohesion.
- Monitor student learning plans, assessments, and overall academic growth.
Parent Relationships
- Serve as a primary point of contact for parents regarding student progress.
- Conduct conferences, send progress updates, and maintain strong, positive relationships.
- Address concerns, gather feedback, and help ensure high customer satisfaction and retention.
Leadership & Management
- Take ownership of decisions, outcomes, and overall center performance.
- Delegate tasks, identify staff potential, and support employee development.
- Participate in ongoing training and maintain competency in instructor and lead instructor roles.
- Help identify operational improvements and ensure safety and efficiency.
