Dual Credit Lab Paraprofessional (Teacher Aide)

Primary Purpose:

Assist with laboratory instruction, monitoring students, and maintaing a safe learning environment in college-level courses offered at the high scool. Will help with preparing materials, managing equipment, and providing support to students under the guidance of dual credit instructors.

Qualifications

Education/Certification:

• Associates degree from an accredited university or college or;
• 48 college hours from an accredited university or college
• TOPS Training (Assessment Exam)
• Valid Texas Educational Aide Certificate

Special Knowledge/Skills

• Ability to work well with children
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Knowledge of general office equipment

Experience

• Some experience working with children
