In search of a Self-Directed Support Staff for a Young Woman living in her
apartment
We are looking for kind, patient, and reliable individuals to support a young lady with
Muscular Dystrophy who lives independently in her own apartment. Enjoying outings to
the Farmer’s Market and working on Computer coding when at home. She also enjoys
learning to cook new things, being outdoors for fresh air, and would love to learn more
about gardening.
You’ll be a valued part of her daily routine and social life, helping her maintain
independence and enjoy her favorite activities.
All the training needed will be provided!
Responsibilities include:
-Daily routine and ADLS
-Assisting with hygiene and personal care
-Basic meal prep and feeding assistance
-Light housekeeping
-Social engagement: conversation, listening, and companionship
-Safe transfers to and from seated positions
Qualifications:
Must be able to perform physical transfers (lifting and pivoting)
Clear and patient communication skills
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Willingness to complete a background check and drug screen
Schedule:
10am-6pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday
Salary:
Starting at $23.00
Payroll managed through Easter Seals
