Planning Supervisor - New Johnsonville, TN

The planning supervisor will assist in managing employees performing supply chain activities along with developing and implementing policies and procedures and setting operational goals. Actively monitoring and ensuring operational schedules are managed and maintained along with managing incoming supply of outsourced product is essential to daily tasks. This role requires advanced forecasting demand generation and allocation experience. The supervisor role should be able to lead, guide and motivate the team to drive service excellence behaviors.

Essential Functions
Manage, develop and motivate planning employees.
Implement policies and procedures.
Generate forecasting metrics for strategic accounts.
Streamline procurement processes, remove barriers, and support internal customer requirements
Monitor planning team scheduling and order processing.
Perform data verification prior to submission to downstream teams to ensure the highest standards of quality and reliability.
Communicate daily with sales and customer service regarding customer needs.
Drive efficiencies, develop strategies and influence performance results on key metrics
Apply manufacturing planning knowledge to create factory production plans to optimize both desired supply and factory operations.

Education

Bachelor's degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain or related field.

Work Experience

4-6 years of formal training or certification in APICS, Lean Manufacturing, Process Excellence and or Six Sigma.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excel, Word, Visio, Power Point, Adobe, Outlook, Webex, TIMS a plus, Samplemanager, CRM
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Proficiency with Excel, Adobe Acrobat, and data entry systems.
Ability to manage multiple systems and tasks simultaneously.
Commitment to accuracy, consistency, and process compliance.
Able to follow established procedures and maintain accuracy under deadlines.
Must be Supply Chain Management certified through APICS or a Certified Professional in Supply Management
Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle.
5 years of experience in leadership either formally or informally leading teams in a cross-functional environment
Performing Advanced Modeling utilizing Excel for forecasting demand and allocating finished good supply and components, including scenario-based planning.
