Role Description
We are looking for a hands-on AI/ML leader to join our Customer Success organization. As a Senior Engagement Manager / Associate Principal, you will help shape advanced analytics and AI-driven solutions for our clients in the CPG and retail sectors.
This role blends technical depth with business impact: you’ll lead applied ML/AI initiatives, design and deploy GenAI-enabled solutions, and guide teams to deliver measurable business value. You’ll work closely with client stakeholders, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, while coaching and mentoring teams to scale delivery excellence.
The role is based in the New Jersey / New York area (commutable from Newark, NJ).
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with client leaders to define analytics strategy, roadmaps, and high-impact AI/ML use cases in CPG and retail.
- Lead the design and delivery of solutions such as price elasticity modeling, promotion effectiveness, assortment optimization, and demand forecasting.
- Develop and deploy GenAI-enabled capabilities (e.g., agentic architectures, LLM-driven insights, AI agents).
- Provide thought leadership on advanced ML methods (Bayesian, causal inference, optimization, time-series) and Generative AI (LLMs, agentic AI, MCP).
- Oversee technical delivery across modern AI/ML stacks (Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, Spark, Databricks, AWS/GCP/Azure).
- Bridge business and technology by translating complex analytical solutions into actionable business outcomes.
- Lead and mentor teams of managers and consultants; foster collaboration across global delivery units.
- Build trusted client relationships, manage escalations, and identify opportunities for account growth.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in Computer Science, Applied Math, AI, or related field.
- 7–12 years of experience in applied ML/AI roles with demonstrated success in consumer analytics.
- Proven track record in CPG/retail use cases such as pricing, promotions, assortment, and demand forecasting.
- Strong hands-on expertise in building and deploying Generative AI solutions.
- Deep technical proficiency in ML/AI methods and modern platforms.
- Strong understanding of data engineering workflows, governance, and MLOps best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to balance technical detail with business impact in client-facing settings.
- Experience working in top MBB consulting or in AI/ML leadership roles within industry (CPG, Retail).
- Location: Must be based in or willing to commute 4 days a week to the New Jersey / New York area.
