What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Governance, Customer Success position at MathCo?
Required Tech stack
- Minimum 10 years working in enterprise Data Governance, Data Quality Management, and data stewardship programs
- Hands-on expertise with at least one major governance platform: Collibra, Alation, Informatica Axon, or an equivalent enterprise governance suite
- Strong understanding of data classification frameworks, sensitive-data protection, PII/PHI handling, retention rules, and access authorization standards
- Proven experience driving data quality rules, issue management workflows, profiling, monitoring, and remediation
- Solid knowledge of data access management, RBAC models, entitlement workflows, and governance controls
Required Non Tech-stack
- Strong communicator who can work with both technical and non-technical teams
- Ability to translate governance problems into simple, consumable recommendations for product managers, engineers, and business owners
- Proven experience building governance roadmaps, identifying pain points, and prioritizing adoption milestones
- Comfortable working directly with client stakeholders at director/VP level
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-moving environment with minimal oversight
- Experience working within Agile frameworks (Scrum), and using project management tools like JIRA or Azure DevOps
- Work Split: 40% hands-on, 60 percent consulting and advisory
