Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic Chess Instructor to join our team at Math Plus Academy in Powell. In this role, you will play a vital part in inspiring students to develop their chess skills, logic and confidence. Your contributions will help shape the future thinkers and doers of tomorrow.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging chess lessons tailored to students' individual needs.
• Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation, curiosity, and engagement.
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively to ensure a productive learning atmosphere.
• Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their growth.
• Collaborate with fellow educators to enhance curriculum and teaching strategies.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student performance and development.
• Adapt teaching methods based on diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Inspire a love for learning through creative teaching approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience in teaching or tutoring chess.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Experience working with students of various age groups.
• Ability to create an engaging and supportive learning environment.
• Passion for learning and education.
