Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
- Previous Knowledge of Eureka Curriculum (a plus)
- Tutoring Experience: 1 year (Required)
- Teaching Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Teaching Certification (Preferred)
- Strong Math Background (Required)
- Authorized to work in US
Job summary
Math-A-Matics Tutoring, LLC is seeking during school and after-school Math Interventionist for the 2025 school year. Math-A-Matics has several grant-based and district-specific programs launching throughout the Houston area that requires interventionist to consistently be available for their weekly assignment.
Math interventionist will provide instructional services with the necessary educational expertise in Mathematics. The ideal candidate will be able to deliver prescribed instructional methods as determined by Math-A-Matics Tutoring, LLC. The guided instruction is data-driven, and all resources and materials are provided. Keep in mind these programs have an expectation that interventionist are highly qualified and capable to get results. It is essential that interventionist is available daily to provide tutorials to the same small group each week as relationships is crucial to student learning and success.
Responsibilities and Duties
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Attends training sessions and delivers designated instructional models and strategies in Mathematics and Science to eligible students through utilization of Math-A-Matics Tutoring materials and educational strategies.
- Develops and maintains individualized skill-appropriate lessons.
- Ensures supervision of students at all times, including escorting students safely to and from Math-A-Matics classroom or to mobile/trailer classroom.
- Establishes and maintains student forms and files as required by Math-A-Matics, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
- Establishes and maintains a positive customer relationship with classroom teachers and principals, including providing achievement objectives and updated approved schedules of services.
- Attends and documents conferences/meetings/trainings with Math-A-Matics Supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents as required by Math-A-Matics, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
- Maintains inventory of educational materials and supplies.
