Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Bonding Mill Helper assists a Bonding Mill Operator in meeting the department’s goals by performing machine set-up, maintaining quality standards, meeting daily production targets, and troubleshooting equipment when required.
Responsibilities
Responsible for coil handling which involves removing coils from skids, loading coals to the payoff, and measuring gauge and width of the material with measuring devices.
Assist with the set-up of a designated Bonding Mill following process sheets, setting machine parameters, and using lubrication.
Assist with machine adjustments and set-ups to reduce thicknesses, reshape products, and eliminate product defects.
Assist with the examining, inspecting, and measuring of raw materials and finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
Assist with controls and observe dial indicators in order to monitor, adjust and regulate speeds of machine mechanisms.
Requirements
High School or GED Required
At least 1 year of previous manufacturing experience required
Experience in a metals industrial setting preferred
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret reports, manuals, technical procedures
22.10 - 31.75 USD Hourly
