On-Site Repair Manager

Position Summary
We are seeking a hands-on On-Site Repair & Operations Manager to lead a light industrial repair operation at a large manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for managing a small team of technicians performing mechanical repair, cutting, and light welding in a high-expectation production environment.
This position requires strong leadership presence, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to manage people, safety, and execution across rotating shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 8–12 technicians
- Direct daily operations in a 24-hour environment
- Schedule employees, manage coverage, and approve time and payroll
- Coordinate daily repair requests with customer contacts
- Enforce safety standards, PPE compliance, and site policies
- Maintain 5S organization and continuous improvement practices
- Oversee light cutting and welding repair activities
- Forecast parts and consumables; manage inventory needs
- Ensure quality, responsiveness, and customer satisfaction
- Maintain documentation, shift handoffs, and basic operational reporting
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or industrial operations
- Proven experience managing a small team (5–15 employees)
- Strong mechanical aptitude; exposure to welding and cutting processes
- Working knowledge of 5S principles
- Safety-first mindset with experience enforcing industrial safety standards
- Ability to manage rotating shifts in a 24/7 operation
- Strong communication skills and professionalism in a customer-facing environment
- High school diploma or trade school certification required
Preferred Qualifications
- Military leadership experience
- Automotive or high-volume manufacturing environment experience
- Experience working inside customer facilities
- Familiarity with timekeeping and payroll systems
Compensation & Benefits
- $60,000 base salary
- Monthly KPI bonus targeting total annual compensation in the low–mid $70,000s
