Material Solutions Co. is a growing corrugated packaging manufacturer seeking an experienced Corrugator Machine Operator / Production Associate to join our team.
Previous hands-on corrugator experience is REQUIRED.
We are specifically looking for someone who has worked in a corrugated board or corrugated packaging manufacturing environment and understands the corrugating process. This is not a general warehouse-only position.
The right candidate will be mechanically inclined, safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working hands-on with industrial production equipment.
Responsibilities
- Operate and assist with corrugated board manufacturing equipment
- Assist with setup, operation, adjustment, and monitoring of corrugator equipment
- Work with paper rolls, liner, medium/fluting, starch adhesive, heat, and pressure during production
- Monitor board quality throughout production
- Identify problems such as poor bonding, delamination, warped board, crushed flute, wrinkles, alignment issues, and improper flute formation
- Assist with paper roll changes and machine setup/changeovers
- Make basic machine adjustments and troubleshoot production problems
- Perform routine preventative maintenance, including lubrication and grease fittings
- Recognize abnormal machine sounds, jams, mechanical issues, or unsafe conditions
- Inspect finished corrugated board and finished products for quality
- Move paper rolls, corrugated sheets, materials, and finished products throughout the facility
- Operate forklifts and material-handling equipment when trained and authorized
- Assist with flexographic printing, die cutting, laminating, bundling, and other production operations as needed
- Keep machines and production areas clean and organized
- Follow all machine guarding, lockout/tagout, PPE, forklift, and facility safety procedures
REQUIRED Qualifications
- Previous corrugator experience is REQUIRED
- Previous employment in a corrugated board, corrugated box, or similar paper manufacturing facility
- Working knowledge of the corrugating process
- Experience working around industrial production machinery
- Mechanically inclined and comfortable using basic hand tools
- Able to perform basic machine adjustments, lubrication, and preventative maintenance
- Strong understanding of industrial and machine safety
- Able to recognize production and quality problems
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a production team
- Willing to perform both machine-operation and general production/warehouse duties
Applicants with only general warehouse, shipping/receiving, picking/packing, or forklift experience and no corrugator experience will not qualify for this position.
Preferred Experience
Experience with one or more of the following is strongly preferred:
- Single facer operation
- Corrugator wet end or dry end
- Paper roll changes
- Starch adhesive systems
- Flexographic printing and die cutting
- Flute laminating
- Corrugated converting equipment
- Machine setup and changeovers
- Mechanical troubleshooting
- Preventative maintenance
- Forklift operation
Compensation & Benefits
- $20.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on corrugator experience

Candidates with strong hands-on experience operating, setting up, and troubleshooting corrugator equipment will be considered toward the higher end of the pay range.
