Welder - FT, Horicon

Our company is looking to add a Full Time Welder to our location. This role will need to perform work on a regularly scheduled time (choose between 4a- Noon or 8a - 4p),Monday - Friday with some Saturday's as needed. This is 100% on site and a rare opportunity!

Summary/objective

The Weld I is accountable for basic rack repair. Position is responsible for cutting and fabricating metal, foam, and plastic.

Work environment

Work may be performed inside or outside with exposure to weather and temperature variations. While performing duties, employee is frequently exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and loud noise levels. Must use necessary eye, ear, and clothing protection; and adhere to all corporate, state, and federal safety regulations.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements: Able to operate a fork truck. Experience using MIG welding equipment and various electric/manual tools. Able to read, write clearly, and understand English. Position is subject to a weld test. Understands basic welding equipment and tools.

Physical demands

• The employee is regularly required to stand and walk; reach with hands and arms; and use hands/fingers to grip, touch and feel.
• Occasionally, employee is required to sit; climb or balance; and bend, kneel or crawl.
• Requires ability to lift 60 pounds occasionally, 25 pounds regularly and 10 pounds frequently.
• The employee is required to talk and hear.
• Specific vision requirements are as follows: near and far-sighted, color, peripheral, and depth-perception; also, the ability to adjust focus.

Travel required:

Most day-to-day duties will be done at a single location. Periodically travel may be necessary, but this role will receive advance notice and accommodations to ease this concern.
