Production Planner

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

At Mateenbar, the Production Planning is responsible for coordinating production scheduling to support manufacturing performance and customer commitments. This role ensures inventory accuracy, material availability, production readiness, and on-time delivery through strong cross-functional collaboration and disciplined execution.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Production Planning and Scheduling

• Coordinate daily production schedules with Operations
• Forecast demand, assessing resource capacity (labor, materials, machinery), and setting goals to create an efficient, long-term manufacturing schedule
• Drill into individual line requirements based on product mix and machine capability.
• Convert purchase orders into process orders using MOS and aSa.
• Lead cross-functional team meetings and outcomes based on information gathering and department collaboration.
• Monitor machine performance against targets and document output changes.
• Generate exception and Production Order checking reports.
• Conduct daily floor tours to ensure scheduling and documentation is accurate and visible.
• Manage Raw Material inventory to ensure availability of material for production workflow.
• Track and monitor daily/weekly/monthly production progress against planned schedules, and addressing issues like downtime, labor and material shortages.
• Compile KPI’s such as production throughput, schedule conformance, output vs plan, equipment availability, capacity utilization, production cycle times, WIP, etc..
• Communicate material shortages, late orders, and change orders that affect planned delivery dates.
• Revise production schedules as required due to labor or material shortages, backlog, demand shift, or other interruptions to the business.
• Sales point of contact for production and order status updates
• Monitor and evaluate production costs by machine center and cost per kilogram, ensuring production activities remain within budget and cost targets.
• Identify cost variances, trends, and improvement opportunities and communicate findings to Operations Manager
• Partner with department leadership to lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis efforts addressing process inefficiencies, schedule attainment gaps, and quality issues.
• Support corrective and preventive actions using structured problem‑solving methodologies to improve production performance, reliability, and quality outcomes.
• Primary Back up to Production Coordinator

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in production planning, supply chain, or manufacturing operations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and production planning systems.

Pay: $53,656.40 - $72,000.00 per year
