PURPOSE OF THE JOB
At Mateenbar, the Maintenance Planner will establish timely, effective work plans. This position will also manage the interfaces with all other parts of the organization to support asset management. The primary responsibilities are focused on development of work plans and coordinating scheduling of work orders and preventative maintenance to be performed. This includes working with the maintenance supervisor and operations manager to improve preventative maintenance practices of machines in the production of Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) rebar. A high level of communication is expected to communicate work order plans to production team members daily. The candidate who possesses high energy, great people skills, and takes the initiative for a proactive approach is desirable.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities
- Review all work requests to determine the level of job plan required.
- Review parts requests and supports maintenance in parts identification and ordering of parts.
- Review all work orders to ensure duplicates are eliminated.
- Review job plan scope with the maintenance supervisor to ensure consistency.
- Review equipment failure data for recurrent failures and initiates root cause failure analysis actions.
- Routinely visits the shop floor to determine any special conditions or requirements for the job.
- Prepare work plans, identifying estimated costs, special tools/equipment needed, and protective equipment, and interface requirements with other areas
- Coordinate repairs with outside vendors.
- Identify and maintain a critical spare part inventory in the maintenance shop.
- Investigate new or less expensive alternative spare parts suppliers and service vendors
- Manages and reports on the work order backlog.
- Prepare a draft schedule for the coming week based on work order priority.
- Maintain plant and equipment records of manuals, spare parts lists, and drawing.
- Schedule and participate in regular work and PM forecast.
- Complete work order closeout documentation.
- Prepare a preventative maintenance master procedure for all PM tasks to be maintained in the CMMS.
- Communicate daily and collaboratively to leaders and team members.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience:
- Associate’s degree required in a technical field and 1 - 3 years of maintenance scheduling / planning experience and/or 5 - 10 years as a machine repair technician, or equivalent combination of both
- Experience in an industrial environment
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
Preferred Certifications or Experience:
- Experience in a product manufacturing environment.
- Experience in production and equipment and basic understanding of machinery operation and maintenance requirements.
- Exposure to plant electrical systems and safety.
Skills & Abilities
- Excellent communication and organizational skills with a strong customer-first mindset.
- High attention to detail, time management, and ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across departments.
