The Organization:

Denver Christian exists to inspire and equip students to discover their God-given gifts and use them to impact the world for Christ. Rooted in a reformed view of Christian education, DC partners with families and the churches these families attend to nurture the whole child, spiritually, cognitively, physically, creatively, personally, and socially, preparing students to live out their faith with confidence, compassion, and purpose.

The Position:

The Director of Advancement is the primary administrator responsible for leading the Advancement Team at Denver Christian, including fundraising, alumni engagement, and donor cultivation. This individual oversees all major giving, capital campaigns, endowment growth, loyalty fund, and donor stewardship efforts.

  • Partner with the Head of School, Board, and leadership team to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a robust portfolio of major donors.
  • Provide direct leadership for and collaborate with the Assistant Director of Advancement and the Advancement Operations Manager.
  • Direct the annual Loyalty Fund goal that bridges the gap between tuition and the actual cost of education.
  • Oversee alumni engagement initiatives, including homecoming events, and develop the Legacy Society for planned giving.
  • Manage corporate sponsorships and signature fundraising events such as the Spring Auction.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Communications on the Connection magazine and the bi-annual Impact and Gratitude Report.
  • Narrate the Denver Christian story effectively to a diverse donor base, including multi-generational families and newer community members.
  • Supervise daily advancement operations and data management to ensure strategic institutional growth

Qualifications:

  • A mature and vibrant Christian faith that supports a Reformed biblical worldview and active participation in a local church
  • Deep alignment with Denver Christian School's mission, vision, values, and six spheres of growth
  • Spiritually grounded and emotionally mature servant leader
  • 5 years of advancement experience
  • 3 years of proven ability to cultivate major gifts
  • Demonstrated prior experience in a major capital campaign
  • Proven ability to strengthen existing structures for long-term outcomes
