Cisco Network Engineer

Location: Minneapolis, MN - (Remote but need to be in MN )

Duration: Long term

Rate: $ 60 - 70/hr

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise Cisco networking environments.

• Strong working knowledge of Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, and Meraki platforms.

• Experience with Cisco SD-WAN (Viptela/vEdge) deployment and operations.

• Solid understanding of routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP), switching fundamentals (STP, VLANs, port-channels), and IPsec VPN.

• Experience with Cisco ISE for network access control and 802.1X.

• Familiarity with retail or distributed branch network environments (hundreds of sites).

• Experience with network monitoring tools and ITSM ticketing systems.

• Strong troubleshooting methodology and ability to work under pressure during outages.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Cisco CCNP Enterprise or equivalent certification.

• Experience with Cisco DNA Center for campus fabric and assurance.

• Exposure to Cisco UCS and Intersight for compute management.

• Familiarity with Zscaler, Palo Alto, or other SASE/SSE platforms.

• Experience with network automation using Ansible, Python, or Terraform.

• Understanding of cloud networking fundamentals (AWS VPC, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway).
