HIL Integration Engineer
Responsibilities:
Develop and reduce plant models for use in HIL systems.
Populate and maintain a repository of plant model library components.
Integrate plant models into MIL, SIL, and HIL environments.
Collaborate with xIL Systems team to troubleshoot issues during test property commissioning.
Must be a strong team player, systems focused with interdisciplinary experience and expertise (ADAS, EE, electric and hybrid systems)
Work with HIL systems such as dSPACE, ETAS, and NI.
Develop and manage MIL/SIL systems using Soft ECUs and Virtual ECUs.
Interface with global teams across NA, EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regions.
Conduct benchmarking and evaluate emerging xIL technologies.
Coordinate with suppliers to define and fulfill plant model requirements.
Contribute to process improvement, methodology development, and tool enhancement.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other suitable degree related to Engineering from an accredited university
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the electronics, hardware, automotive industry
Experience with plant and controller modeling, simulation, development, testing, and validation
Knowledge and experience with Powertrain, EE, electric and hybrid systems
Demonstrated Hardware- In-the-Loop systems experience (dSPACE, ETAS, NI HIL systems)
Experience with model-based development tools such as MATLAB/SIMULINK
Experience with C/C++ code generation
Knowledge of Simulation Tool (e.g. CarMaker, ASM)
Experience with 1-D physical modeling tools such as GT Power, AMESim and co-simulation tools
Experience with model-based development tools using m-script
Experience with Matlab m-scripting OR Experiences with Python,JavaScript
Experience in Test Automation Tools Development.
Master of Science degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is preferred
Working experience of Model Development is preferred
Basic knowledge of vehicle dynamics and specific simulation software is preferred
Knowledge of Vehicle Systems Components is also preferred
Experience of working within an AGILE or Scrum framework is preferred
Experience in Test Automation is preferred
Ability to adapt to changing environment with minimal effect on productivity is preferred
Strong understanding of the development of embedded software
Ability to communicate effectively across multiple levels of management
Good understanding of the development of embedded software
Experience with data acquisition and analysis tools such as ETAS-INCA
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
8+ years of experience in automotive software and integration.
Strong understanding of vehicle communication protocols (CAN, LIN, UDS, DoIP) and diagnostic standards.
Familiar with HIL Commissioning, DSpace, Matlab
Proficient with automotive tools such as Vector CANalyzer, CANoe, and capable of interpreting complex network logs.
