Job Summary
Match Staffing someone with blown film extrusion experience for our client in Spartanburg. This client is a plastic film, bag, and recycled resin manufacturer, as well as a paper floormat manufacturer producing automotive service industry products for some 20 years. Match Staffing is looking for motivated individuals to join that great client.
The person selected for this position will be able to safely perform a combination of productions tasks, which will include the set-up of jobs, reading and interpreting the production schedule, reading, and understanding work instructions and blueprints. They must also be proficient at complying with all quality testing and logging procedures, as well as running/operating with multi-layer extrusion lines and the respective downstream equipment such as winders, folders, and bag machines. This person will also be acting as a lead person on the production floor, and be responsible for training perspective new associates on safety, quality, housekeeping and other aspects of the production process.We have openings on day shift and night shift from 7am to 7pm and 7pm to 7am.
Requirements
- 3 years of blown film operator extrusion experience required.
- Ability to read production schedule, work order, and work procedures in English.
- Problem solving and trouble shooting skills.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Knowledge of resins and additives.
- Ability to train new associates.
- Ability to be the lead on three production lines supervising three packers.
- Commitment to quality work.
- Commitment to safety and quality. Follow all safety and quality policies.
- Able to consistently demonstrate reliable, punctual attendance.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills (verbal & written).
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
