About the Role
Tinder is seeking a Senior Director of Communications to lead communications strategy and execution across the U.S., Canada, and LATAM, reporting to the Global CMO. This role will shape regional and global narratives, guide executive visibility, manage high‑stakes issues, and lead a team of communications professionals and agency partners.
In this high‑impact role, you’ll scale Tinder’s voice across the Americas—partnering closely with Product, Marketing, Trust & Safety, and other cross‑functional teams to communicate new and evolving product features, safety commitments, and brand priorities. You’ll oversee consumer and corporate storytelling across media, social, and cultural moments, while ensuring alignment with global messaging.
This role calls for a hands‑on, strategic leader with deep regional fluency, strong product communications expertise, and the ability to move seamlessly between consumer storytelling and corporate communications in a fast‑paced, global environment.
What You’ll Do:Lead the Communications strategy for the U.S., Canada, and LATAM, ensuring consistency while tailoring narratives to regional audiencesManage and mentor a high-performing team, investing in people development and strengthening both hard and soft skillsPartner with Product to build and execute product communications strategies, clearly articulating the value of new and enhanced featuresInnovative and results-driven in reaching Gen Z through social, influencer partnerships, Substack-style publishing, and beyondCollaborate with Marketing to develop consumer-facing narratives that build brand love across social and cultural channels. Serve as a company spokesperson, managing top-tier media relationships across multiple verticalsDrive integrated communications campaigns that span product, brand, and corporate narrativesPartner with executives to develop strategic internal and external communications, including speaking opportunities and thought leadershipUse consumer insights and cultural trends to shape timely, relevant messagingOversee budget management in partnership with Finance, approaching planning with an entrepreneurial mindsetSupport corporate communications efforts, including public policy and Government Relations alignment when neededManage a complex stakeholder landscape, including Match Group functions, legal, and regional partners
What We’re Looking For:12 years of experience in communications or public relations, ideally in consumer tech or a fast-paced, global organizationProven people leadership experience with a passion for team development and mentorshipDeep understanding of the U.S., Canadian, and LATAM media landscapesStrong background in product communications, with experience launching and managing consumer tech productsTrack record of creating high-impact campaigns that connect with diverse consumer audiencesEstablished media relationships across tech, business, lifestyle, and regional pressExperience as a company spokesperson, comfortable representing the brand externallyExperience collaborating on corporate topics, including partnerships with Government Relations teamsConfident in developing and delivering executive communications and strategy presentationsStrong operational skills with experience overseeing budgets and working closely with FinanceAbility to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution, operating effectively across multiple stakeholders and time zones

The salary range for this position is $245,000-$265,000 Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in either Los Angeles or New York. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
