PreK Paraprofessional (2026-2027) Hyde Park, Massachusetts, United States Match Charter Public School is a free, high-performing charter public school in Boston. We are a PreK-12 school serving up to 1,250 students. Our mission is to prepare students—particularly multilingual learners and those who would be the first in their families to earn a college degree—for success in college and careers in order to achieve economic security and mobility. Position: PreK Paraprofessional (2026-2027) Location: Boston, MA (Hyde Park Campus) Start date: August, 2026 OVERVIEW OF ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES Match has a 2026-2027opening for a PreK Paraprofessional. The position is based at 100 Poydras St. in Hyde Park. The hours for these positions are 7:00am-2:45pm (7:00am-4:30pm on Wednesdays for afternoon professional development). Compensation is $52,499/year and can be higher if the candidate has prior relevant experience. Match encourages and supports paraprofessionals and aides who want to grow into lead teaching positions or other educator roles at our school! The PreK Paraprofessional will play an integral role in supporting the lead teacher in one of our Pre-K classrooms. The Pre-K paraprofessional will work closely with the lead teacher and the entire PreK team to ensure that our students are able to learn in a warm, positive and structured classroom environment. Responsibilities include: Working with students in instructional and classroom activities at the direction of the lead teacher Assisting with academic, functional and/or specifically designed instructional or physical activities Supporting individual students and help them complete assignments or explain material they do not understand Communicating regularly with classroom teachers and parents regarding student’s needs and progress Supporting and ensuring the safety of excessively disruptive students, which may include physical management techniques at times Providing clerical support and material preparation support to teachers Upholding high academic and behavioral expectations for students, and provide lots of support for getting students there; Participating in professional development activities, including but not limited to: instructional coaching, content meetings, and weekly meetings with the lead teacher.
