This position participates in Borough landfill and transfer site operations.Work is performed and duties are carried out in accordance with established policies, procedures, and Borough core values: Accountability, Customer Focus, Dedication, Integrity, Responsiveness and Teamwork.This is a 6 month (from date of hire) temporary assignment expected to work forty (40) hours a week.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
Monitors the central landfill; ensures customer compliance with policies and procedures.Effectively answers questions from the public to provide information and resolve complaints.Closes and opens disposal sites; keeps disposal areas clean and functional.May operate a variety of heavy equipment.Develops and plans special projects.Builds and constructs retaining walls, signage, retaining nets, and fencing.Assists with the repairs and remodels of transfer site buildings.Operates a wide variety of hand and power tools.Maintains chainsaws, weed eaters, chop saws, and other hand and power tools.Assists in the maintenance and repairs of division equipment.Monitors automated scale to ensure accuracy.Monitors the disposal of Asbestos and other special waste in accordance with Federal and State regulations.Conducts snow removal operations.Maintains grounds at all division properties.Assists in the scale house as required.Performs related duties.
