This position is responsible for the maintenance of Borough facilities and equipment as assigned.

This position is located at the Glacier View Community Center in Chickaloon and will be responsible for custodial, grounds care, and light maintenance duties. While it is a "Thousand Hour" Job Type, it will be limited to 500 Hours per 12 month period and is expected to average ten (10) hours a week.F1 - DOE
High School diploma or equivalent.
One year of experience in a similar position, sufficient to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position. Relevant skills and/or experience includes: customer service, minor building maintenance, and custodial experience.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the State of Alaska for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen, physical and background check.

- Cleans and prepares the administration area of assigned buildings for business operations. Performs light janitorial duties to ensure proper function of the building.
- Conducts or coordinates grounds maintenance for all assigned buildings to include fertilizing and cutting grass, trimming trees and shrubs, collecting litter, etc.
- Performs minor building maintenance, reports major issues to Facilities, and supports maintenance scheduling and operations for assigned buildings, as needed.
- Conducts or coordinates snow removal from entry-ways, sidewalks, parking lots, and training grounds.
- Performs courier duties; delivers packages and supplies.
- Assists in the installation of office equipment and fixtures.
- Assists with minor vehicle repairs as assigned.
- Assists in coordinating department functions, including training events, awards ceremonies, and large group meetings.
- Attends required training.
- Purchases supplies from vendors and restocks operational supplies at assigned buildings.
- May be required to interact with members of the public assisting, directing or answering questions.
- Maintains records of work performed.
- Performs related duties.
