PURPOSE
This position is responsible for managing and/or supervising activities and personnel related to member services and coordinates with all departments and sections of the Association to provide exemplary service to the Association’s members.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
The District Office Supervisor I performs the below functions proficiently and supervises no more than eight (8) employees.
The District Office Supervisor II performs the below functions proficiently and supervises at least eight (8) employees.
1. Supervises, directs, coaches, and/or manages the performance and the daily activities of employees. Responsible for hiring, salary determinations, promotions, terminations, etc., in accordance with Association policies.
2. Prepares and manages performance evaluations, coordinates training, establishes goals and objectives with appropriate criteria and monitoring performance progress. Works with employees to help resolve a wide variety of employee issues.
3. Responsible for training new employees in the Association’s Tariff, rules and regulations, Bylaws and policies as well as procedures for cashiering, member service and interdepartmental communications.
4. Supervises and/or manages the day-to-day activities of an employee team as assigned to ensure a smooth delivery of services according to the Association’s Tariff, policies, and procedures.
5. Supervises and/or manages the handling and resolution of member accounts complaints and inquiries. Will be called upon to solve a variety of difficult member issues. Must be able to make collection decisions concerning delinquent accounts.
6. Drafts, reviews, compiles and analyzes general office correspondence, reports, policies & procedures, processes, etc. and composes appropriate responses for signatures by self or others.
7. Oversees and performs all office duties and processes involved in the Member Services Section.
8. Establishes and maintains all relationships necessary to carry out activities with particular emphasis on member’s needs and interdepartmental workflow.
9. Attends all supervisory meetings and training as appropriate and communicates necessary information to supervised employees.
10. Promotes a safety culture in which safety is a value. This culture is based on joint and individual engagement, ownership, and accountability regarding job safety and responsibility to perform work safely and adhere to safe work practices.
11. Performs the essential functions of the position in a safe and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
· Qualified candidates are required to have:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible utility member service experience.
- A valid driver’s license and a driving record, which is acceptable and insurable by the Association’s Driving Policy and insurable by the Association and the Association’s insurance carrier at standard group rates.
· Preference will be given to those candidates with an educational emphasis in business administration and basic supervising.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS
· This position is classified as an exempt, non-represented position; and therefore, is not eligible for overtime compensation. All Association employees are expected to work widely varying amounts of time outside the normal shifts to assist in power restoration or other needs of the Association.
