Clinical Duties:
- Gather clinical data and medical records from referring physicians
- Review patient paperwork and ensure it is properly completed and accurate
- Obtain current medication list with accurate dosages and frequencies
- Phlebotomy
- Greet and bring patients to exam rooms, get vitals and brief health history
- Set up exam rooms properly for visits and procedures
- Assist providers during in-office procedures
- Prepare laboratory specimens for testing and transport according to lab protocol
- Clean & Stock exam rooms with supplies and maintain medical instruments
- Follow up on studies and pathology to ensure completion
Administrative Duties:
- Answer telephone in a professional pleasant and courteous manner, handling caller requests accurately and promptly.
- Transcribe accurate messages and relays to appropriate party.
- Follow office policy when handling patient health care questions.
- Update and maintain patient electronic medical records
- Other clerical duties as assigned

Job Requirements
- Associate Degree in Medical Assisting; or Medical Assisting Certificate; or
- At least two years of physician office, documented medical assisting experience preferred.
- High School Diploma (GED) with related experience.
- Prefer knowledge of medical terminology, office procedures, and medication/pharmacology.
- Professional and pleasant demeanor for patient care
- Ability to work independently, multitask, prioritize, and address tasks accordingly and efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Licenses/Certificates
- BLS Required.
