MasteryPrep is seeking experienced educators and instructional leaders to serve as Professional Development Presenters delivering ACT Instructional Mastery (AIM) workshops to teachers and school leaders across the country.
ACT AIM workshops are designed to help educators deepen their understanding of the ACT assessment and the specific skills students must master to succeed on the exam. These sessions focus on instructional strategies, data analysis, and classroom practices that support college readiness.
Professional Development Presenters will facilitate engaging professional learning sessions covering the ACT English, Math, Reading, Science, and Writing assessments, guiding educators through instructional frameworks, data interpretation, and classroom application.
This is primarily a seasonal contract position during the summer months, with the possibility of expanded or year-round opportunities with MasteryPrep based on performance and availability.
Key Responsibilities
Professional Development Delivery
- Facilitate in-person and/or virtual ACT AIM professional development workshops for educators.
- Deliver engaging sessions that help teachers understand:
- ACT test structure and reporting categories
- Key college readiness skills assessed by the ACT
- Instructional strategies to improve student outcomes
- Present content clearly and confidently while maintaining strong audience engagement.
- Demonstrate deep understanding of:
- ACT assessment structure
- College readiness skills
- Effective instructional practices
- Provide real-world classroom examples and strategies to help educators apply workshop concepts.
- Support educators in identifying student knowledge gaps and developing instructional responses.
- Lead participants through interactive activities including:
- Data analysis
- Instructional planning
- Item analysis
- Strategy implementation
- Encourage collaboration and professional discussion among participants.
- Maintain a positive and professional learning environment.
- Review training materials and presentation decks thoroughly prior to sessions.
- Coordinate with school or district contacts before events.
- Arrive early to ensure room setup, materials readiness, and technology functionality.
- Manage session pacing, breaks, and participant engagement throughout the workshop.
- Respond to participant questions thoughtfully and accurately.
- Guide educators through action planning for implementation in their classrooms.
- Ensure participants complete post-session surveys and knowledge checks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in education or instructional leadership, such as:
- Classroom teacher
- Instructional coach
- Academic specialist
- School or district leader
- Experience delivering professional development or leading adult learning sessions.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Ability to facilitate collaborative discussions and engage adult learners.
- Ability to travel for in-person events when required.
- Experience with ACT, SAT, or other college readiness assessments.
- Experience with test preparation or data-driven instruction.
- Experience facilitating large-group professional development.

- Workshops may be delivered:
- Domestic Travel: Requires frequent out of state travel within the U.S. to facilitate in - person workshops. No international travel is required.
- Hybrid Delivery: Ability to pivot between high energy, multi-day in - person training sessions and engaging virtual delivery.
- Multi-day training sessions
