Power Unit Assembler

Masterson Staffing is currently seeking a Power Unit Assembler for a growing manufacturing company in Elgin, IL. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong mechanical aptitude and assembly experience looking to grow in a fast-paced technical environment.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday
6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay:
$18.00 – $20.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Job Summary:
The Power Unit Assembler will be responsible for assembling, testing, and validating power units and actuator door assemblies used in industrial equipment. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical skills, and the ability to read assembly instructions and technical diagrams.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble pneumatic and electrical components for power units and chute door assemblies
- Work with team members to complete assembly and validation of components
- Follow assembly drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams
- Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, electric tools, and torque tools
- Assemble sub-assemblies and final base plate assemblies using Bills of Materials
- Document production activities and maintain production logs
- Ensure materials meet specifications before assembly
- Follow supervisor instructions and process standards
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in two or more of the following areas:
- Mechanical assembly
- Hydraulics
- Pneumatics
- Electrical installation or testing
- Strong mechanical and technical aptitude
- Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and assembly instructions
- Experience using hand tools and power tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
