What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician position at Masterson Animal Clinic?
- Needed hours: Mondays Tuesdays Thursdays Fridays 750am to ~1240pm and 150pm to ~530pm. Wednesdays 750am to ~1240pm and if animals at clinic ~5pm to ~545pm. Saturdays 750am-~1020am and ~5pm-~6pm. Sundays 8am-~10am and 5pm-~630pm.
- Licensed or experienced veterinary technician
- Excellent communication skills with pet owners and staff
- Ability to effectively prioritize workflow
- Dedicated to teamwork and following rules and instructions
- Serious animal handling skills
- Knowledge of veterinary drugs, excellent labelling and dispensing talents
- Ability to collect and process laboratory samples
- Experience in radiology technique, positioning
- Skill with gmail, iphones, and veterinary software (Avimark) is highly valued
- Dependability and honesty required
- Best if you live close to the clinic, have a reliable car, and a driver's license
- Need a person that likes everything clean, organized and will make it happen daily
- Practice management experience desired
- IV placement and management with pump
- Anesthesia monitoring
- Surgical Instrument maintenance and autoclaving packs
- Positive attitude required
- Clean criminal record required
- Need to be able to lift 51 pounds
- Scaling and polishing teeth
- Expressing anal glands
