About the Role
We are seeking a methodical, detail-oriented Financial Analyst who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems, and building clarity in a fast-paced, multi-branch service organization. This is a growth-based FP&A role designed for an early-career professional who wants to develop expertise in budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and data analysis.
Our ideal candidate will start by supporting established processes and will grow into owning key components of budgeting and forecasting over the next 2–3 years. You will work closely with the VP of Administration, learning our operational and financial systems and helping build the next generation of financial reporting at MasterScapes.
What You’ll Do
- Support the annual budget process by maintaining templates, gathering data, and organizing inputs
- Help build and update monthly and quarterly rolling forecasts
- Assist with analyzing how forecast changes impact key metrics
- Prepare monthly budget–actual–forecast reporting packages
- Perform first-pass variance analysis and identify unusual trends
- Draft clear, simple explanations for review before distribution
- Pull and reconcile financial and operational data from Aspire, QuickBooks, and Excel
- Maintain clean reporting files and templates
- Support dashboard creation in Excel or other reporting tools
- Follow established financial reporting procedures and suggest improvements
- Support leadership in monthly financial reviews by explaining calculations

Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field
- 0–3 years of experience in a financial, analytical, or quantitative role (internships welcome)
- Strong Excel skills or clear ability to learn quickly
- Ability to reconcile data and spot inconsistencies
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have:
- Experience with QuickBooks, Aspire, or Power BI
- Experience in landscaping, construction, or service-based industries
