About the Role
Masters Academy International is seeking a compassionate, organized, and experienced Staff Nurse to support the health and wellbeing of students in our boarding school community. The Staff Nurse will provide comprehensive healthcare services, promote wellness, and ensure a safe living and learning environment for students residing on campus.
This role is especially important in a boarding school setting, where the nurse serves as a primary healthcare provider and a health educator for students who live away from home. The role will require evening or occasional weekend availability to support boarding students.
What You Will Do
As a Staff Nurse at Masters Academy International, you will play a vital role in our Student Wellbeing function, serving as a primary healthcare provider and health educator for our unique boarding school community. Because our student-athletes live away from home, you will provide critical on-campus support—including routine health checks and coordinated care for illnesses or injuries—which may occasionally require evening or weekend availability.
Who You Are
You are a compassionate, highly organized, and operationally strong Registered Nurse (or eligible for licensure in Massachusetts) who is energized by the opportunity to support the health and wellness of student-athletes in a dynamic boarding school community. You are an exceptional communicator who can speak with credibility and confidence across a wide range of stakeholders—from anxious parents and dormitory staff to local emergency services.
Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field preferred.
• Experience: Previous experience in school nursing, pediatrics, or adolescent healthcare strongly preferred.
• Credentials: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Massachusetts (or eligibility for licensure).
• Expertise: Demonstrated success in clinical assessment and decision-making
• Knowledge: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; Ability to respond calmly in emergency situations; Strong organizational and record-keeping abilities; Compassionate approach when working with adolescents from diverse backgrounds.
