SAT English Instructor/Tutor

Job Description

We are looking to hire an experienced SAT Instructor/Tutor to provide instruction in providing guidance for our students in preparation for their exam. In our small classroom or one-on-one environment, this tutor will be dedicated to the student, thanks to the personalized learning environment. Our goal is to foster critical thinking, test taking strategies, and problem solving skills in our students. This position is part-time and will require you to come in-person in our campus.

JOB DUTIES:

• Prepare students for SAT examinations
• Teach material based on the new digital SAT format
• Motivate and encourage students
• Develop and deliver comprehensive SAT content
• Adaptable to one-to-one or small group classes
• Assess students' needs and provide extra support in any lacking areas
• Provide homework help as needed
• Able to lead a classroom of students effectively and work efficiently with students
• Good classroom management skills
  
  
  

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, English, or a related field from an accredited college or university (required)
• Master's degree in Education, English, or a related field from an accredited college or university (preferred)
• 2 years experience as an SAT instructor or tutor (required)
• Successful track record of helping students with their SAT Exams
• Professional communication skills (both spoken and written)
• Competent in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Able to work independently and collaborate with a team
• Enthusiastic about working with students and parents
• Able to maintain strict confidentiality
• Highly organized and detail-oriented (attention to detail and accuracy is imperative)
• Ability to meet schedules and deadlines
• Good judgment and decision-making abilities
