We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to develop and implement comprehensive environmental programs that ensure compliance with corporate standards, ISO 14001 requirements, and local, state, and federal regulations.
">Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement various environmental compliance programs, including air emissions, storm water, industrial waste water, DOT, and solid/liquid/universal/hazardous waste programs.
- Maintain Masterguard's ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and represent the facility during audits.
- Conduct environmental management training, job site inspections, and contingency planning (SPCC, SWPPP and RCRA).
- Manage on-site chemicals, including inventory, ordering, and compiling periodic summaries of chemical use.
- Manage waste streams, including hazardous, non-hazardous, liquid industrial wastes, and recycling programs.
- Evaluate facility-specific air permitting requirements and complete necessary reports.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local industrial waste water pretreatment permits.
- Comply with SWPPP and SPCC regulations.
- Adhere to corporate environmental requirements.
- Review new projects, process changes, and chemical changes to determine the need for environmental permits, controls, or procedural changes.
- Organize cost improvement programs associated with wastes, chemicals, and environmental improvement programs.
- Represent the facility during environmental regulatory inspections.
- Stay up-to-date with environmental regulatory knowledge and industry trends and best practices.
