Position Overview:
Mastercraft Property Solutions is seeking a reliable and motivated Shop Technician / Delivery Driver to play a vital role in supporting our field operations. This position is responsible for maintaining an organized and efficient shop, managing inventory and company assets, and ensuring our technicians have the tools, materials, and equipment they need to deliver exceptional service to our customers. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where organization, teamwork, and dependability are essential. This role is instrumental in keeping daily operations running smoothly and directly contributes to the success of our field teams and the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shop & Inventory Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment. Monitor and restock consumable materials used by field technicians (fasteners, caulking, adhesives, PPE, blades, etc.). Receive, organize, and put away incoming inventory and supplies. Conduct routine inventory counts and report shortages to the Business Operations Coordinator. Assist with ordering recommendations based on inventory levels.
- Asset Management: Label and tag company tools, equipment, and assets. Maintain accurate records of company assets and equipment. Track tool assignments and ensure assets are returned and accounted for. Report damaged, lost, or missing equipment.
- Delivery & Material Support: Pick up construction materials, tools, and supplies from vendors. Deliver materials, equipment, and supplies to active job sites. Coordinate deliveries with field technicians to minimize downtime. Ensure all deliveries are accurate, timely, and safely transported. Assist with loading and unloading materials and equipment.
- Operational Support: Support field technicians by preparing materials and equipment before scheduled jobs. Assist with warehouse organization and seasonal maintenance. Maintain company vehicles assigned to the role by keeping them clean and reporting maintenance needs. Follow company safety procedures and maintain a professional appearance when representing the company.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to safely operate a pickup truck, trailer (preferred), and forklift (or willingness to be trained).
- Basic computer skills and ability to use inventory tracking software or mobile apps.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.
- Construction, warehouse, or inventory experience is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with common construction materials and tools.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive attitude.
